Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 5:16 PM ET) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Tuesday unveiled four new rule proposals aimed at bringing regulatory controls to the over-the-counter derivatives market, including a rule on reporting commodity swaps.
The agency released the proposed rules, promulgated under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, at a public meeting as part of its efforts to adopt new standards for the largely unregulated market, which is worth as much as $615 trillion.
