Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 4:45 PM ET) -- Barclays Bank PLC announced Friday it would offer U.S. employees a payment to offset additional federal taxes they pay on benefits extended to their same-sex domestic partners.
The British banking giant said that it would reimburse all U.S.-based workers who opt in to the firm's medical, dental or vision plans and are forced to pay U.S. taxes on same-sex partners' benefits.
