Law360, New York (December 22, 2010, 5:56 PM ET) -- American Apparel Inc., which is facing investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. attorneys in New York into Deloitte & Touche LLP's July resignation as the retailer's accountant, has denied withholding financial information from the accounting firm.
The clothing chain said in a regulatory filing Tuesday that its management does not believe the company withheld February 2010 monthly financial statements from Deloitte while the firm was preparing a 2009 financial report.
