Apollo Loses Bid To Dodge Buyout Antitrust Action

Law360, New York (February 17, 2011, 7:42 PM ET) -- A federal judge Thursday denied Apollo Global Management LLC’s bid to exit a putative class action accusing it of joining JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bain Capital Partners LLC and others in a scheme to fix prices on leveraged buyouts.

Judge Edward F. Harrington of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts denied the motion in an electronic order, but said he would consider one of Apollo’s arguments by way of summary judgment after the close of discovery.
