Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 8:16 PM ET) -- President Barack Obama on Friday nominated Timothy G. Massad, a former Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP partner who left in 2009 to join the U.S. Department of the Treasury, to lead the agency's Troubled Asset Relief Program.
Massad, who is already serving in an acting capacity, was officially nominated to be the assistant secretary for financial stability, which is in charge of the bank bailout funds. The White House has sent its nomination to the U.S. Senate, which must confirm the nomination.
