2nd Circ. Says Fraudster Can't Withdraw His Appeal

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 6:35 PM ET) -- The Second Circuit on Tuesday denied a bid by former money manager Alberto Vilar to withdraw his appeal of a nine-year sentence for running a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme while a lower court considers his application for writ of habeas corpus.
