Law360, New York (February 17, 2012, 6:45 PM ET) -- Banco Itau BBA SA, the investment arm of Brazil's merged banking giant Itau Unibanco SA, will get a loan of up to $100 million from the Inter-American Development Bank to finance clean energy projects throughout South America, it said Friday.
The loan, which may yet be matched by up to $100 million in private-sector loans, will go toward renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, cleaner manufacturing and carbon-offset projects in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
