Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 9:43 PM ET) -- Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. has received two subpoenas from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in relation to loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration, MetLife said Tuesday.
MetLife said in a regulatory filing that the subpoenas were issued within the past month. Though it acknowledged that the subpoenas, as well as other inquiries and investigations, could result in fines or enforcement actions, it did not provide any further information on what information HUD was seeking.
