Law360, New York (June 01, 2012, 9:25 PM ET) -- A protege to former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director Rajat Gupta testified in Gupta's securities fraud trial Friday, pressing prosecutors' case that Gupta and convicted insider trader Raj Rajaratnam had close business connections.
Anil Kumar, who was a high-level partner at consultancy McKinsey & Co. while Gupta was its managing director, told the jury that he, Gupta and Rajaratnam worked together to establish a South Asia-focused asset management firm in 2006, meeting at the offices of Rajaratnam's hedge fund, Galleon Group LLC.
