Judge Balks At Countrywide's Deal With Homeowner

Law360, New York (May 08, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A bankruptcy judge has refused to approve a settlement of a dispute over mortgage payments between Countrywide Home Loans Inc. and a Pennsylvania homeowner, saying that he doesn't know enough about the settlement and still needs to look into possible misconduct by the subprime lender.
