Insurance Companies Battle Over Patent

Law360, New York (May 21, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. filed a patent infringement suit Tuesday against Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Co. and five sister companies over a patent for a method of providing retirement benefits. The claim was filed the same day the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued the patent.
