Code Writer Boots Up WARN Act Suit V. Lehman

Law360, New York (November 05, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A computer programmer has filed a putative class action against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., claiming the bankrupt investment giant failed to meets its pay and benefits obligations under federal and New Jersey labor laws.

Senior Java Developer Miron Berenshteyn sued in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, claiming he was terminated in a Sept. 9 mass layoff and was not provided 60 days advance written notice as required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act and state law....
