Law360, New York (November 17, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The seven top executives at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. will sacrifice their 2008 bonuses, saving millions as the investment bank and other beneficiaries of the $700 billion federal bailout of the financial sector face growing scrutiny over executive pay.
The Goldman executives asked the board of directors Sunday not to award them bonuses for 2008 - a request that the board granted, a company spokesman said.
Last year, Goldman CEO Lloyd C. Blankfein earned $70 million including his bonus.
