Law360, New York (March 24, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge has dismissed the majority of a lawsuit a private equity firm brought against Mayer Brown LLP in connection with the collapse of brokerage firm Refco Inc., but kept one fraud claim alive.
In an opinion issued Monday, Judge Gerard E. Lynch of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed all the claims brought by investment funds associated with Thomas H. Lee Partners LP against the law firm except for a claim of fraud.
