Former Le-Nature's CEO Charged With $800M Fraud

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 4:44 PM ET) -- The former CEO of bottler Le-Nature's Inc. has been indicted on allegations that he perpetrated a fraud by overstating the company's financial status — an $800 million scheme that ended with the company's 2006 bankruptcy.

Gregory J. Podlucky, 48, was indicted Sept. 17 on charges of bank, wire and mail fraud; conspiracy; and money laundering, U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan of the Western District of Pennsylvania said Monday.
