Adelphia Continues Battle To Unearth Lucent Documents

Law360, New York (November 13, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Persevering in its attempts to force Lucent Technologies Inc. to surrender all documents relating to a $44 million debt, bankrupt telecommunications company Adelphia Communication Corp. claimed on Friday that Lucent failed to prove the documents fell under attorney-client privilege.

The battle between the telecommunications companies began in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York when Lucent requested that Adelphia pay off the $44 million debt that an Adelphia subsidiary, Devon Communications LP, had incurred.
