DuPont, Others Object To Chemtura Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (September 09, 2010, 5:40 PM ET) -- Objections are pouring in over the Chapter 11 plan of Chemtura Corp. and a supplement filed this month, with companies such as DuPont Co. and The Dow Chemical Co. arguing the proposal could unfairly free the reorganized entity from a variety of legitimate contracts and claims.

DuPont, in a limited objection filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, argued it is owed more than $1 million stemming from its acquisition of Chemtura’s flourine business and other purchase agreements....
