Law360, New York (September 23, 2010, 2:12 PM ET) -- Bankrupt chemical company Chemtura Corp. has agreed to pay Pennsylvania environmental regulators $10 million to cover cleanup costs at one of the company's former production facilities.
According to a settlement motion filed Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, both the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and American Refining Group Inc., which purchased the site from a predecessor of Chemtura in 1997, have agreed to drop their claims against the debtor.
