Law360, New York (April 18, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bankruptcy filings picked up in the last three months of 2006, bucking a trend that saw numbers plunge to their lowest level since 1988, according to the administrative office of the U.S. Courts.
The statistics, released Monday, showed business bankruptcies then were higher than they had been during any other quarter, although overall bankruptcies had dropped by 70% from the previous year.
