Dish Network Wins Approval Of $1.4B Takeover Of DBSD

Law360, New York (March 15, 2011, 5:54 PM ET) -- Dish Network Corp. won court approval Tuesday of its proposed $1.4 billion takeover of bankrupt mobile satellite provider DBSD North America Inc.

In approving the deal, Judge Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York said Dish's offer was in the best interests of the debtors, their creditors and other impacted parties.
