Law360, New York (April 08, 2011, 6:25 PM ET) -- Bankrupt Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. settled a week-old suit Friday in New York against a former vice president who allegedly violated a noncompete by going to rival Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. with trade secrets.
Attorneys for A&P and former Vice President of Operations Frank R. Vitale told Judge Frederic Block of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York that they had reached a deal to end a suit A&P filed on April 4.
