Law360, New York (January 30, 2012, 7:47 PM ET) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Monday approved the appointment of a consumer privacy ombudsman in Real Mex Restaurants Inc.'s Chapter 11 case following U.S. trustee objections over the sale of company assets on privacy grounds.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Brendan L. Shannon issued an order directing the Office of the U.S. Trustee to appoint the ombudsman based on a joint request by the trustee and Real Mex. An auction is scheduled for Thursday, with a sale hearing to follow on Feb. 10.
