Dynegy Escapes Most Subpoenas In Fight Over Trustee

Law360, New York (May 09, 2012, 4:26 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday largely rejected a bid by Dynegy Holdings LLC creditor Claren Road Asset Management LLC to force the bankrupt power company unit to comply with subpoenas meant to bolster its case for a Chapter 11 trustee.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Cecelia G. Morris denied most of the subpoenas, which were issued in light of a scathing examiner's report in March deeming Dynegy Holdings' prebankruptcy transfer of coal assets to parent Dynegy Inc. a fraudulent transfer illegally designed to benefit shareholders....
