Judge Clears Way For St. Vincent's Ch. 11 Plan Vote
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Cecelia G. Morris said St. Vincent’s Chapter 11 plan, filed May 18, satisfies the requirements of the bankruptcy code and rules.
St. Vincent’s, which operated a 160-year-old hospital in Manhattan and other facilities, returned to bankruptcy in April 2010 after a 2007 reorganization left it saddled with $270 million in debt.
