Law360, New York (October 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s Chapter 11 case is shaping up to surpass Enron Corp.'s as the most expensive in history, according to a law professor who has studied the issue.
Using a fees calculator he helped develop, Lynn M. LoPucki estimated that Lehman Brothers would shell out a whopping $1.4 billion to the lawyers and other professionals working on the case.
About $906 million of that will have to be approved by the bankruptcy court, whereas the rest will come from secured creditors and other sources...
