SCO Asks To Stay $2.5M Payout In Novell Feud

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bankrupt software company SCO Group Inc. is asking a district court for permission to hold off on handing over more than $2.5 million to Novell Inc. while its appeal of the court's dismissal of the remainder of its copyright ownership claims over the UNIX operating system is pending.

In court documents filed Dec. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, SCO said such a stay would be efficient because the grounds justifying the bill of costs — which combined with prejudgment interest...
