Motorola Claims Ignorance Of Adelphia Wrongdoings

Law360, New York (August 04, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Motorola Inc. reiterated its ignorance Wednesday of the federal investigation into Adelphia Communications Corp., which had sued the cell phone maker for defrauding it into bankruptcy.

In its quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Motorola said it was never aware of any illegal activities being conducted by Adelphia. For many years, it supplied the cable company with TV set-top boxes and other broadband equipment.
