Pillsbury, SonicBlue Told To Settle Malpractice Spat

Law360, New York (January 21, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. trustee overseeing SonicBlue Inc.'s bankruptcy proceedings and former debtor's counsel Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP have been ordered to appear at a settlement conference next month, where they will discuss accusations that the firm should fork over $4 million in fees and $11 million in damages for failing to disclose a conflict of interest.

In court documents filed Jan. 14, Judge Marilyn Morgan of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California scheduled the settlement conference for Feb. 16-17 and continuing thereafter...
