Delta, Pilots Clash Over Pension Plan

Law360, New York (August 31, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bankrupt carrier Delta Airlines has turned a deaf ear to the protests of retired pilots, asking a judge to toss its pension plans in an effort to cut costs. But the pilots aren’t giving up without a fight.

At a hearing this morning, a judge will hear arguments from both Delta and its pilots, and will rule on Delta’s motion to terminate its pension obligations on Saturday.
