Calif. Conoco Workers Lose Renewed Class Status Bid

Law360, New York (June 12, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has denied a renewed bid for class certification in a suit accusing ConocoPhillips Co. of failing to provide meal periods to workers at several California refineries and remanded the case to state court, finding that the Class Action Fairness Act does not provide a basis for jurisdiction.
