EBay Denies Having Monopoly Over Online Auctions

Law360, New York (August 17, 2009, 6:51 PM ET) -- Online auction giant eBay Inc. has denied that it holds monopoly power over a defined market, moving for summary judgment in a putative antitrust class action alleging it charges sellers excessive fees.

In the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, eBay filed a motion for summary judgment arguing that the sellers had failed to raise a triable claim under Section Two of the Sherman Act.
