Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 2:07 PM ET) -- Plaintiffs in a consolidated class action accusing DirecTV Inc. of unlawfully charging customers stiff cancellation fees are seeking an interlocutory appeal of a federal judge's finding that customer contracts require the case to be dealt with through binding arbitration proceedings.
The DirecTV customers filed a notice of their petition for interlocutory appeal on Friday in an effort to overturn a decision in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California compelling arbitration in the lawsuits.
