Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 6:41 PM ET) -- LG Electronics Inc. and Hitachi Ltd. have settled a computer technology patent spat seven months after a federal district judge's ruling that LG's patent rights were exhausted because the dispute was similar to a case that went before the U.S. Supreme Court last year.
Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California approved a stipulation between the parties to dismiss the case on Tuesday. No details of the settlement were made public.
