Bill To Renew Price-Fixing Ban Heads To Full House

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 7:45 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee on Wednesday gave its approval to legislation that would reinstate vertical price-fixing bans by reversing the U.S. Supreme Court's 2007 decision that price-fixing is not necessarily illegal.

H.R. 3190, known as the Discount Pricing Consumer Protection Act of 2009, was favorably reported by voice vote during a full committee meeting, nearly six months after the Judiciary Committee's courts and competition policy subcommittee approved the measure on July 30.
