HP Settles ITC, US Court Suits Over Cartridge Patents

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 1:28 PM ET) -- With an exclusion order in tow, Hewlett-Packard Co. has settled a pair of suits against Chinese ink cartridge manufacturers and importers accused of infringing four HP patents.

HP announced Thursday it has reached “substantial resolution” of the Section 337 investigation it initiated at the U.S. International Trade Commission to put an end to the importation and sale of HP 02 compatible inkjet ink supplies protected by HP’s patents.
