$1.5M Deal In Lockheed Meal Break Class Action OK'd

Law360, New York (April 29, 2010, 6:22 PM ET) -- A federal judge has given a green light to a $1.5 million settlement deal between Lockheed Martin Corp. and a class of current and former security guards at facilities throughout California who were allegedly denied required meal breaks.

Judge Ronald Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off Tuesday on an order granting preliminary approval of the deal and setting a final approval hearing for Sept. 10.

The deal appears to be "fair, reasonable and adequate," the order said....
