Abbott's Appeal Bid Nixed In Norvir Pricing Suits

Law360, New York (June 02, 2010, 7:22 PM ET) -- A federal judge has shot down Abbott Laboratories' bid for an interlocutory appeal of her decision not to dismiss claims from four suits accusing the pharmaceutical company of illegally jacking up the price for its HIV drug Norvir.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday denied Abbott's request for certification of an interlocutory appeal, finding that the company had not met its burden to show that such an appeal was warranted.
