Law360, New York (November 05, 2010, 1:05 PM ET) -- Acacia Research Corp. on Friday announced a settlement and license agreement between one of its units and Texas Instruments Inc., putting to rest a patent infringement battle over computer processors currently before a federal appeals court.
The settlement resolves a suit brought by Acacia unit Microprocessor Enhancement Corp. that accuses Texas Instruments of violating a patent for an architecture employed in advance pipeline microprocessors, which is currently on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
