Law360, New York (November 05, 2010, 4:29 PM ET) -- A California woman with a glitchy iPhone has lodged a putative deceptive business practices class action against Apple Inc., claiming the technology giant intentionally issued an incompatible software upgrade that rendered her device useless.
Bianca Wofford filed the suit on behalf of consumers in California who upgraded third-generation iPhones with iOS4 software, which caused crashes, diminished speed and substantially degraded performance, according to a complaint filed Oct. 29 in the Superior Court of the State of California in San Diego County.
