Law360, New York (January 05, 2011, 8:06 PM ET) -- An arbitrator has ruled in favor of Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. in its breach of contract case against a former in-house attorney who allegedly disclosed confidential information accusing the company of covering up evidence in litigation over rollover accidents.
Awarding Toyota $2.5 million in liquidated damages and $100,000 in punitive damages, arbitrator Gary L. Taylor said in his ruling Tuesday that three contracts between the car company and Dimitrios P. Biller created an obligation of confidentiality.
