Law360, New York (June 16, 2011, 8:19 PM ET) -- An Oracle Corp. unit on Thursday said it was seeking billions of dollars in a patent and copyright suit against Google Inc. in California after the Internet giant filed court documents that redacted the scale of damages being sought.
Oracle America Inc. revealed the dollar amount of its infringement claims in a filing opposing Google's bid to keep documents containing references to the damages amount out of public view. The suit claims Google's Android mobile device software infringes on Oracle's Java programming language.
