Deadline Set For Wal-Mart Sex Bias Claimants

Law360, New York (August 19, 2011, 8:04 PM ET) -- A California federal judge ruled Friday that women in an enormous sex discrimination suit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. would have until late October to refile individual actions against the company after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled they could not sue as a single class.

The ruling gave the women — who have received approval for their lawsuits from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission — until Oct. 28 to file their individual suits. Those women who have yet to file with the EEOC have until Jan....
