Law360, New York (January 13, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- Intellectual property specialty firm Burns Doane has hired Joseph R. Baker, Jr. from Fish & Richardson in an expansion of the firm’s new biotech practice in San Diego.
The outpost was launched last year to specialize in patent prosecution for biotech clients by Laurie Axford, a former Pennie & Edmonds partner with more than 30 years of experience in the local marketplace.
The firm already has a number of San Diego biotech clients, including the Burnham Institute, the Salk Institute and Genprobe.
