Wal-Mart Strikes Back At Wage-And-Hour Action

Law360, New York (August 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. aims to sink allegations raised in a consolidated action filed by a proposed class of current and former employees that the retail giant violated California wage-and-hour laws.

The Bentonville, Ark., company urged the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday to toss the suit, alleging that the plaintiffs failed to state a claim upon which relief can be granted and that they waived their rights to bring the action.
