Jamba Juice Smoothie Kits Not 'All-Natural,' Says Suit

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 5:52 PM ET) -- Jamba Juice Co. misled fruit fanatics by adding synthetic and processed ingredients into do-it-yourself smoothie kits labeled “all-natural,” according to a proposed class action filed Monday in California federal court.

The complaint, filed by California resident Kevin Anderson, accuses California-based Jamba Juice of deceiving consumers by adding ascorbic acid, citric acid, steviol glycosides and xanthan gum to its make-at-home smoothies.
