Law360, New York (March 28, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a stunning defeat for Japanese electronics maker Sony Corp., a federal judge on Monday ordered it to halt U.S. sales of its PlayStation game consoles but immediately stayed the injunction order pending an appeal in the case.
U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilke ordered Sony to desist "from manufacturing, using, and/or selling in, or importing into, the United States the infringing Sony PlayStation system" including the consoles, controllers and relevant games.
