Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 2:31 PM ET) -- The Sierra Club on Friday sued the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for violations of the Endangered Species and National Environmental Policy Acts over its approval of a right-of-way grant for a wind energy project near Bakersfield, Calif.
Wind turbines like those proposed for the North Sky River Project could pose a hazard to the protected golden eagles, southwestern willow flycatchers, endangered California condors and other migratory birds that live in or pass through the project area, the Sierra Club said.
