Law360, New York (May 25, 2012, 7:09 PM ET) -- London-based publishing giant Pearson PLC has acquired California-based software company GlobalEnglish Corp. in a $90 million cash deal to enhance its presence in the market for educational programs geared toward students learning English as a second language, Pearson announced Friday.
Pearson agreed to purchase GlobalEnglish from its current ownership group, which includes management and financial investors, in a transaction subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
