Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 3:45 PM ET) -- California electronic systems manufacturer Synopsys Inc. has acquired a Taiwanese supplier of integrated circuit design software for roughly $305 million, Synopsys said Friday.
The company announced that it agreed to purchase SpringSoft Inc., based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in an all-cash transaction. Synopsys will make a tender offer through a Taiwanese subsidiary to acquire all of the outstanding shares of SpringSoft for 57 New Taiwan dollars (roughly US$1.90) per share.
Synopsys will buy any remaining shares of Spring Soft as part of a follow-on merger, it said....
