Qualcomm Attorneys Will Have Their Day In Court

Law360, New York (March 05, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Six attorneys sanctioned by a federal judge in January for discovery misconduct in a patent dispute between Qualcomm Inc. and Broadcom Corp. will have their objections heard by a magistrate court.

Judge Rudi M. Brewster of the Southern District of California issued an order Wednesday vacating the order against the attorneys and remanding the case to the magistrate court. An $8.6 million sanction imposed at the same time against Qualcomm will stand, as the company did not file an objection.
